City girl in Europe

This post has been published by me as a part of the Blog-a-Ton 31; the thirty-first edition of the online marathon of Bloggers; where we decide and we write. To be part of the next edition, visit and start following Blog-a-Ton. The theme for the month is 'Strangers in the Night'

Last week I went to meet my friend Vangelis who is a European guy, I met him in Delhi while attending one of my workshops. After that workshop he went to Thailand for another workshop. He came to Delhi last week only, and asked me to meet for a coffee.

As our plan we met at Khan Market Metro station, I saw him from back side he was in red top and green lower (very different type of dressing :)) and the coincident was I was also in same color. I wearied red kurti, green payjami with green duppta I dint noticed that but he noticed and said this to me. After that we went to a European restaurant and I was new in this kind of environment. I was lots of thoughts that “can able to adjust in this kind of atmosphere where alcohol and other drinks were serving like normal cold drinks and etc.”

Still I was with him and observing everything there, I can see lots of Europeans there, I was thinking like I am in between Strangers in the Night or I am not in India but in Europe. Their culture was very different from me, few Indians were also there but also modified like Europeans and these Indians and European were looking me like I was an escaped animal of a zoo just because of I was not fitting in the atmosphere, I was in fully in Indian traditional style and they all are in western.

There I met with his two friends also, they were waiting for him. One is a girl and another is boy. Girl was totally white and boy was also same but boy had long hair till his shoulder. They were talking and I was just observing the atmosphere and culture of western country. Boy was smoking continuously as well as drinking pomegranate juice regularly. I observed that both girl and boy were giving lots of face gestures while talking but in India especially male doesn’t do that.

Then I saw an Indian girl who was sitting alone in a corner and having a big cup of cold coffee and having a cigarette in her left hand and she was writing something in her big diary but she was the only girl who was in Indian style dress other than me.

In this entire situation we had our coffee as well as dinner also. He was busy in talking with her and mean while he introduced me to them and some time talking to me also. Like that my coffee meet it’s end with Strangers in the Night and he dropped me at khan market metro station. I was feeling like finally I came to India again.

What makes you happy ….

First of all I want to apologize for not being regular for writing at least I should write it twice a week but I could not.  I am very irregular on it just because I am very much focused on my career planning, as you all know I am a mental health counselor but know I want to work under some experienced counselors for some time for great confidence in me.

I tells you a story of me (very small), Once I was travelling by bus and don’t get seat. A girl offered to share her seat with me and I was listening music on my Ipod so I put my one headphone to her ear and she smiled. After few days I forget that girl but she met me again last month and she talked to me and that day I felt very good.

Many times you have listened the saying “we should enjoy each moment of our life “but we don’t know how we enjoy all small events of life. You can enjoy each day of your life if starts noticing your daily activity positively. Notice when you feel good (even for small activity) and try to remember it for at least for full day and I promise it will make your day wonderful.

Few days  back I had posted a  status "What makes you happy??" and you can read what I got in response. Every bodies desire is different. Some asked for money, for girl friends and some for career and friends.

Following are my list which makes my day happy:
  • +        When you smile to unknown person and he/she give it back.
  • +        A small talk with a close friend (although I know u never have small talk with close friend).
  • +        Even a talk with unknown in bus/metro or any public transport.
  • +        Listening your favorite music in office ;)
  • +        A small cup of tea/coffee with a friend for no reason.
  • +        Compliment by your boss
  • +        Feeling of happiness for no reason (like today I m feeling happy for no reason ;) )
  • +        When you are missing someone and suddenly get a call from same person.
  • +        Buy a gift for relatives/friends or for someone special (it can be small also or making it would be best)
  • +        Feeling of fallen in love (it could be self love also).
  • +        Going from somewhere to anywhere without any reason without asking anyone.

These are my list now you can make yours too.. now its your turn.. in my comment box you can share your list it can help me and other readers to make their new list. J

Modern Laxmi Bai on Delhi Road.

Few months ago, I met my ex-colleague. He called me as "Laxmi Bai”...I was surprised and asked him that "Why are you calling me with that name...”. He replied to me one of the funniest incident of my life which happened two days back before I met him. Oh God, I was surprised again that he saw me?????... Actually, he saw me in the middle of traffic while crossing the lane.

Actually on that day, it was around 7.00 pm in the evening, we were on the way to Mother Dairy Road in a heavy traffic...Me and my friend were coming back to home from our office.. It was in Noida, so we have to take bus for Main Mother Dairy and then we have to cross two traffic light to reach another bus. There we were waiting for a red signal so that we could cross the road. After 5 minutes of waiting, the Red signal opened but no vehicle stopped for that. But we want to cross the road but couldn’t...........We were in a hurry to go to Mother Dairy Ice-cream parlor...

Then in that Red signal, I decided to cross the road. In that traffic, I kept hold of my friend’s hand tightly because I know that she can’t do it alone. I had started to walk in traffic and showed a hand to the coming traffic. The 1st one was an auto rickshaw who came near to me. I said to the driver that "Ruko!!! Dikhta nahi kya? Red signal ho gaya hai (Stop!! Don’t you look at the Red signal)" with a big smile.. The driver was shocked and replied something, but we didn’t listen to him...There in that traffic everyone was watching us because of our foolishness (actually because of our daring hehhehehe)...

I was smiling and everyone started smiling at me and we moved from there.. In all this, I felt like I was a lion that crossed her way and everyone scared while seeing me...

Now we have to cross another road...I took the same step again and but this time it was not the auto rickshaw but a mini bus... It was not me this time but the driver said to me that "Ye to mai hu jisne bus rok diya koi aur hota to chada deta tum par (It’s me who had stopped the bus, if any other driven means may be hit you at this time.)" but he was also smiling at me and me also did.

My friend was also very laughing at me and keep on telling that you are crazy...Really I was feeling like crazy at that time as well as a Lion oh no a Lioness...............

Surprise of New Year

Today is 31st Dec 2011.. At least, this year has come to an end. I Remember very well on how my Love wished me for a Last New Year.. I just feel like it happened yesterday night. Days had passed like anything.. Although, everyday is a new day in the life but We expect something different in this kind of special day. Love is all about expecting the same Love from your Loved one. I am not an exception to that. But my Love is very formal, so I didn’t expect anything from him.. So I decided to wish him before he do or forget..:-)

New Year's gift..
At 12am, I just picked my phone to call him but my phone started ringing and I was shocked. That was him only. He called me to wish for the new year ..and at that time he was at his air force party. But still he didn’t forget to call and wish me… That was a great surprise for me and my biggest gift for a New Year, I had ever received..
It is a year old Moment but still in my heart because that moment was very close to me..I Wish again that he should surprise me with the same gift.. I am awaiting To receive his call..: -)
By the way I want to wish you all the very best for the New Year… May God bless you and all your dreams comes true this year…;-)

Great People.. Love You All :)
